Barbara describes her work as being stylized in nature to represent forms that convey love, strength, pride, knowledge, joy and compassion. Some are based on realistic forms that are simplified to convey information by using very few details.   Her sculptural pieces invite viewers to become involved by moving around, and sometimes looking inside, the sculpture.  Viewers discover new shapes, forms, relationships and surfaces with each step or tilt of the head.
